Re: Project no buck 72

Took a little drive up the road last night and it sounded like crap, had a bad plug on the driver's side and ended up frying #1 and #3 plug wires on the exhaust and had a caliper stick. By the time I turned around coming back home it was only hitting on 5 or 6 cylinders and with the caliper hanging up, had to drop it to 3rd to make it back in. Did all this with no exhaust just manifold pipes coming out under the cab, it was loud! Hopefully get everything taken care of in the next day or so, sure felt good to drive it again even if it was so sick!

Re: Project no buck 72

Haven't had much time to work on the truck lately with work and family stuff coming up. We've been adding on to the house so here's a pic I shot yesterday, standing on the ceiling joist. Truck is sittng there with no carb right now as I've been rebuilding it, need to finish it up and get it back on.

Re: Project no buck 72

A lot of things have changed in my life since I last posted here. Currently using the old truck for my daily driver. I'm driving about an hour one way, before the speedometer cable broke I had checked the mileage, 11 mpg, doesnt' take long to burn through some money that way! But the old truck has proved to be very dependable on a daily basis and it does feel good to drive it!
