Re: 505 Green
Is the darker green on your truck metallic or is it 505? Sometimes its hard to tell from the pictures with green.

Re: 505 Green
He may not have caught the thread title or be familiar with the paint codes but 70cst's truck looks to be 506/dark olive poly & 504/medium olive poly. Mel

Re: 505 Green
1970 is the only year in this era that 505 dark green was not an option.
Here are all the RPOs in 67-72 that included 505 as the primary color: |

Re: 505 Green
Thanks Tim - yes, one could order just about any color GM produced in a given model year via the Special Paint order process, but a Special Paint code would appear on the SPID, not RPO 505 in 1970. I assumed the OP was asking specifically about the paint code 505.

Re: 505 Green
I have found the paint supplier chip books to not always be completely accurate, so I try to ref the data books or sales brochures for paint codes - have never seen 505 dk green in the 70 truck data book, only 512 dk green metallic. (but I do see it as a commercial color and as a factory RPO for burbs). But who knows!
