The holidays backed us up a little however we did get the firewall smoothed and this after this week, we'll be laying paint. I've located the LS power plant and we'll be mocking it up after the cab is painted.

Woot woot, nice! Are you going to be running a carb? I think you would be happier with injection.

Running a carb! I wanted LS however wanted some old school look as well.I have a tendency to do different from everyone else, that's why my name is one off. I like creating something you don't see in a lot of trucks. Just wait to see what I plan for the electronics!! LOL...

Looks awesome, can't wait to see what you'll be doing with electrical. I travel by Parker every week heading to DIA from Pueblo West. Like to see the project sometime.

Coming together nicely. The 700r4 should be in today and by this time next week the drive train should be complete. Just in time for that spring time driving.

I love the truck, but that is some d@mn nice wall art!

Just for my own education, why are you going with a 700R4 behind the LS instead of a 4L60E?

Re: Now, I'm getting serious!!!! LOL

It would seem like a straight 700r4 would be much easier than an "E" transmission since he's running a carbed engine and won't have the associated wiring harness like most LS swappers to run the electronic version of the trans.

At least that was what I assumed when I read that.

Re: Now, I'm getting serious!!!! LOL

After a few setbacks, we're back on track. Got the alternator on after the third set of exhaust manifolds, we're ready to start finishing this bad boy up. The Ron Davis radiator is heading our way to button up everything. Hopefully next week, she'll be ready to get on the road
