Everything was blasted using crushed glass. Some of the spots on the truck were in much better shape than I thought like the roof line on the out side, others worse than I thought like the hood front edge, Some other surprises were the rust thru above the drivers visor inside the cab. He didn't blast the flat surfaces on the hood because he could tell it was going to warp the metal so I will have to sand that down with the DA. I started to paint some of the parts with POR 15 like the cross beam that runs under the tail gate and I also did the hood braces and the tranny hump. I think I will probably see if I can find a better set of rear wheel tubs, or maybe buy a set of reproductions. I will spend most of the day tomorrow getting everything in epoxy primer so it won't rust before I get to it.

I have a set of rear wheel tubs you may be interested in. I believe they are reproductions because they were chromed. They are in really good shape. I already have the 2 sets that I will be using. I am going to widen them using parts of 2 for each side. You can come over and look at them sometime if you are interested.

All you southern and western guys eat your heart out, I spent a few hours cleaning the seam seal out of my drip rail to find virtually no rust! This truck spent it whole life in the state of Maine! What are the chances?

Personally I am only prefrencially not a Ford person. If I were to own a ford though it would be a 1969 T-bird Landau, satin black with black leather interior. For some reason look to me like a small space ship, ride like a cruise ship, and the suicide doors just put me over the top!
The truck your wife got has some really cool body lines, particularly in the fenders !! Is she going to restore it, or are you?
