Re: The BCC No Limit build
The back of this truck was treated to one of our new rear rail kits. For suspension, we chose our FatBar 4-bar with a bag/shock. We have done six or seven rear rail kits in the shop now, but this will be the first with a FatBar, so we did some prototyping here. As the new rails fit over the stock rails, it is a very tight fit. We sanded the stock rails nice and smoot, that helps. The 'top-front' bolt lines up. The rails are set level, and the remaining holes are drilled.

Re: The BCC No Limit build
We have learned that they easy way to assemble this is to set the crossmembers in place, and then loosely bolt them to one rail (drivers). Then, start to align and bolt them to the other rail. Two large drift pins and a ratchet strap will help. DO NOT drill the holes out to fit. They fit, just work the parts into place.

Re: The BCC No Limit build
The FatBar install is straight forward. The front bar mounts use two holes from the rail install, then use the mount as a guide to drill the rest. With the axle in place, the rear bar mounts are set. The axle should be at Ride Hieght, centered, level, with the pinion angle set. A tie strap pulling the axle forward into the bars and mounts will help to stabalize the housing.

Re: The BCC No Limit build
Thanks. I gotta say, seeing your truck at SEMA was a treat. There are just too many cars to look at, and some I'm not realy interested in, but it's nice to see projects that show the commitment and planning like yours does. As the builder I'm sure you have a mental list of the things that should be, or could be different to make it perfect, but don't let them get to you too much. I know that a LOT of people saw it the way I did, as a bad ass piece of american iron.

Re: The BCC No Limit build
In the rear of the truck we are using a bag & shock set up. This has a bit more travel than a shockwave, so it may be a little more versitile for this truck. Our FatBar 4-bar kits have an indexed bag mounts that fit around the 4-bar mounts. These should be level at ride hieght. With everything installed, the rear suspension is complete. Note that the link bars, bags and shocks are outboard of the frame. This provides a wider suspension base, and makes the truck more stable. Our new rails are set at 34" outside to outside, slightly narrower than stock, so even with the suspension outboard, there is room for up to a 12" wide rim and 335 tire (wheel tub mods required.)

Re: The BCC No Limit build
With the rails raised 4", we have more room for the fuel tank. Here is a look inside the tank for this truck. We will have these tanks available to fit the rear rail kits. The bottom of the tank is appx 1/2" higher than the bottom of the bed side, no clearance issues, this tank holds 20 gal. The center fuel trap is for an EFI pump, if added.
Raising the rear rail 4" forces you to raise the bed floor to go with it. This project has a wood floor, so it is a bit different than the steel floor trucks. We decided to 'float' the wood floor back in, hiding the side rails. So instaed of raising the side rails 4" (to go back over the top of the wood) we made risers that are 3 1/8" (this will now fit under the wood. The side risers are .090 alum. For the front and back, the riser is a standard 4". We used 2" x 4" x .065" tubing, cut to length and drilled to match. The large holes are for hardware access. This step took a little time, but it's not really difficult.

Re: The BCC No Limit build
This is great. There is a lot of interest in raising the bed floor. It's the best of both worlds. getting the stance people want but still have a functional (and flat) bed floor. I bet you will sell a bunch of these kits.

Is that a sway bar end link I see in this picture? Have any better pics of the setup?

Re: The BCC No Limit build
I thought the same thing, but as I looked at it again, I believe it is the upper shock mount since you can see the lower mount just below the bag mount.

Re: The BCC No Limit build
This truck is going to look sweet on the ground without the grandpa wheels! I can't wait to see it finished.
That bulkhead fitting is simple and effective, like it.

Re: The BCC No Limit build
I was skeptical of the gold line tires when I read about it, but they look awesome on those wheels!

Re: The BCC No Limit build
Yes, we have the wheels and tires!!!! and yes, they are BAD A$$. Here are a couple more shots of the rear suspension. Yes, the shocks are outboard, in front of the axle. The only trick here is getting a shock with a sleaved 5/8" eyelet to work in place. This mount shares the same bolt as the lower 4-bar, so it has to have a metal sleave to tighten up to. Fitting the exhaust was pretty easy, just be carefull to check the travel as you build.

Re: The BCC No Limit build
Fitting in the exhast is easy, until you get to the axle. On the passenger side, where the panhard bar imoves with the axle, the exhasu passes through the gap between the axle and bar. Going over the bar is do-able, as long as the fuel tank is in the stock location, but with the new tank there isn't enough room. For the hieght at the top, check the axle with the suspension fully compressed. For the exit behind the axle, check the fit with the suspension at full droop.
