'84 K20 350/th400 6" suspension lift 3" body lift Had 38's but couldn't afford them again at the time so now has 35's (but it will have 38's again) Only time I have ever been stranded is because I ran out of gas! It may be a little rusty crusty but has never let me down

My '78 Silverado diesel was my daily until two months ago when I bought a TDI. She still runs like a top but the suspension is so worn out it is just not fun to drive anymore. Now I just drive her once or twice a week.

Re: Lets See Your Diehard Daily Drivers!

Sorry guys, with all the forums I'm on, I miss stuff. They are Dodge steel spares, 20"x8". The backspacing on them I think is 5 3/8", I'm running 1 1/4" 5x5 to 5x5.5 adapters. I got them off craigslist with the adapters, rubber, and the rally caps. There are websites out there to get them.

Here is the site I'm buying a 5th wheel from, I want a full sized spare.

Thank you!

Those are 325/50/15. The rear is lowered just enough to level it with the front, but the front end is at stock ride height as far as I know.

Re: Lets See Your Diehard Daily Drivers!

Blackpony, what bracket did you use to mount the a/c compressor? I've hear the 4.3L pre-vortec bracket will work with some mods, but yours looks like it has a billet idler?

My shortbed was pulling daily duty until the 305 decided to retire on me. Almost done with the replacement, but until then, the SuperSub has been pulling daily duty.

My 1980 has been my daily driver for the past month or so, since I got the 350 HO, 700R4 and Vintage Air installed and sorted...

Here's mine during the summer months want to keep it out of the salt or I'd drive it year round. The 4.10's are killing the wallet thought may change to some gas friendly gears.

Re: Lets See Your Diehard Daily Drivers!

My DD (22 miles a day). 86 M1009 with 81K on the clock. 6.2L diesel with 3.08 gears and a 27 gallon tank gives me pretty good mpg and range.
