Re: Short Changed
Well, kinda hit a snag. Using a regular C-notch, the rear end sits a little too high for my taste. You can fix this to a point by raising the shock mount crossmember's location on the frame, but it still sits high and the clearance would be too tight at the ride height I'm after using the coil-overs.
The solution is to go with a mild step notch. Of course, that entails other issues like raising the bed floor. Anyway, the step has been ordered and should be here any day. Then I can run it out to Kyle's and he can get back after it.

Re: Short Changed
Tuning into this one too!
My next goal is a 67-72 C10 after I finish my son's '82. It is the body style I need to complete the "set" since I already have a '65 also....

Funny how things evolve as projects progress, isn't it? I've never had one end up like I thought it would when I started. I suspect more misses ahead, but what the heck - its all fun. Thanks for stopping by, fellas! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Short Changed
Just don't do what I did and try to get the rear lower by swapping out the CPP 5" springs for a set of ECE 6" springs and raise the rear by 1/8"

Re: Short Changed
I learned mixing vendors on suspension hardware doesn't work so well the hard way also.

Re: Short Changed
Dang Dude! I should not have tuned in for this build thread. I've sold must of my extra stash o parts and down to one truck the first time in a long time. I thought I had the monkey off my back.( I'm not into 12 step programs) I love seeing trucks taken down to just the frame and put back together. This addiction is worse than heroin... I think. Looking good Steve.
