Re: Father/Son '58 GMC 4x4 Build
Looking good! I have to do that step rust repair here soon. So were they pretty difficult or were the doors the worst part?

All that patch panel work was tedious, but I'd have to say the door bottoms were the worst for me. I spent a lot of time trying to get that outer door skin to stay nice and flat, but had some warping. I ended up drilling holes thru the inside panel, took a rod and peened out the low spots.

Re: Father/Son '58 GMC 4x4 Build
Been chipping away over the past few weeks. Pre assembled the bed last weekend and got all the holes drilled in the bed wood, ready for clear coat. Just mounted up the new tires, 285/75r18 Toyo M/T's. I took it down the road tonight for a short test drive...she's a beast!

Re: Father/Son '58 GMC 4x4 Build
Thanks for the compliment SCHRUM! Glad to say that I'm just about a week from being completely finished. Grill and pedals are done at the chrome shop, just got to go pick it up. I will be making the maiden voyage over to Boise with open headers to the muffler shop. Will post more pics soon.
