But yes lots of updates!! It went from just frame swapping it and bagging it, to hey lets semi restore this beast. So there's been tons of sheetmetal repair to the cab. Bedsides are next. Almost got the front suspension done. Etc etc.... Progress has been slower but some progress is better than no progress!! Soon as I get a few minutes I'll post up all the pics I have since the last time I updated!

Re: "Mable" 1959 Apache Build On A S-10 Frame
I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing some updates on this truck because we plan on doing the same frame swap on our 58 in the spring. Any shots of how the body got mounted to the S10 frame would be a huge plus it's going to look so cool bagged and scraping the ground

Re: "Mable" 1959 Apache Build On A S-10 Frame
Had to go back to my photobucket and fix all my pictures since I made an album for all the truck pics. So all my pics disappeared. But I got it right!

Re: "Mable" 1959 Apache Build On A S-10 Frame
And finally, where we're currently at. After months and months of rust repair, dent pulling, sand blasting, stripping, grinding and sanding we got the cab in epoxy! Inside and out. Made it all worth it though! Looks 10 times better already!!

Re: "Mable" 1959 Apache Build On A S-10 Frame
Alright, so now I caught up the build I believe. Somewhere in the last few months it's turned into a full restoration project instead of the original plan of just frame swapping it, fixing a few things, bag it and drive it. But the end result will be much better!!

Re: "Mable" 1959 Apache Build On A S-10 Frame
how did you get your front tires to fill the space so well? Did you swap your A arms or just run a wheel spacer?

Re: "Mable" 1959 Apache Build On A S-10 Frame
We actually added an inch and a half to the stock control arms. Turned out pretty solid. Then I got 8 inch wide wheels plus the 235/75's helped it out too!

Re: "Mable" 1959 Apache Build On A S-10 Frame
We cut the frame horns off of the stock 59 frame and just welded it to the front of the s-10 frame. With some cutting and trimming on the s-10 frame horns of course. But everything bolts up and lines up perfect!
