Well having done a few of these now and I live where it really rains and there is so much moisture I have bought a billet door to sink into the bed to hide the actual gas filler. It's at the shop ready to pick it up I will post all the info you need to check it out and a couple of pictures

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
Okay, I've read and re-read and can't find anything that mentions that Sweet paint color you used or brand, layers, flavor etc.
Did I miss something? Your color (here on my screen) is a Dark almost bluish/black sinister green. Black in the dark, light hits it and POW. Ain't fair to keep it a secret I tell ya. oh btw, bed wood looks good too. |

Sinster Green about says it all....It's a deep dark green with a gold flect through it. I wanted something that looks black almost in the shade but when the sun hits it there is a ton of i reffer to it as break meaning that the color changes across the curves.....Then we cleared the hell out of it and it has not yet been polished and won't be until it's all put together....and then the white stripe .... we added a hint of the green to give it some effect...and a little pearl thing going on. Ps....it smells like Mint and it tastes like crap just saying.

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
Well it took me longer to get all of the steering figured out.....But it's roughed in right now. Flaming river floor shift coloum....32 spline coupler to DD shaft...24" of stainless DD bar ( which the extra slipped right into the coloum ) And a block to hold it all in place. I just have to take it all out and drill the set screws spots and drill and bolt the top. P.s yes there is alot of wire in the cab but I put in a bunch of extra stuff so hey.......lots and lots of wire...

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
Okay so ....if you look under the stereo...you will see my A/C controls that are sunk into the dash. This is kinda stupid but when we took the old radio steel out we cut it,chopped it,and hit with a hammer until we made that recess then placed it back into the bottom curve of the dash.So when I am working in the cab I just can't help looking at that and smiling....but I really dig it

Eibach coils for a 73-87 for the front? Used 'em twice, great results both times.

Re: 66 SBFS street truck
Well making some progress....Got the box onto the frame still have some work to do for mounting but nothing to serious. I might have to take it off to put my filler in the back so I won't get to carried away with it just yet.
