I just dove into my own 61 rebuild. Learned a bunch from you guys already on what to expect. What motor mounts did you use? They don't look like the ones that came off of my truck in pieces. I have a 350sb also.

Our motor mounts were a multi month and several hundred dollars process. So I am happy to share this, so that others dont have to go thru the same.

Please note, I have a 79 C10 front end that we bolted to our 61 frame. We did this to upgrade the front end to power brakes and power steering.
The 79 crossmember is different than the 61 so please take note of that.

The mounts are perch mounts. I bought them from CPP. They were a good price, but CPP is very slow to ship. They are in california, and us in Upstate NY it took weeks to get them.

We are learning ourselves thru this site, we are more than happy to help others. If you need anything, pictures etc let us know.

truck is at the body shop so not too much to update on. we did score a decent step side bed for the truck. Set it on the frame. Still need to remove the old fleet side bumper brackets to get it to sit on the frame. At least the body shop has it. hope to get it home soon.

The paint work has been the most challenging. I can wrench clean wire anything. Its been at the paint shop since November. I think he lost his drive to paint it (took on too much) I spent most of the day yesterday working along side of him prepping and painting jambs, and doors etc... I think he's back into it. Lets hope! has to hang doors and fenders, and the body is ready to shoot base and clear. The hood will be a few weeks later, as it needs some work. But at least we can get the truck home and wire, finish interior etc...

Truck is home from paint on Friday. Since then we have mounted box to frame, install sheetmetal and set gaps (final Fit) installed grille, and have been working on installing new wiring harness. Now that its home, work can progres

It's been quite some time since we posted pics. We have been busy working on the 61, as you can see from the pics below. Our biggest thing to deal with is the steering column. to tie it all together.
