Not yet, been to busy with work to get anything done, but I do have some credit built up at my buddy's mechanics shop for some body repairs and paint work on his car so I plan on getting it over there pretty soon to get the motor dropped in and all the wiring done.

Re: My 88 crew cab dually 12v cummins/nv4500 swap. If anyones done this please come i

how is it going black sheep? i started this same project about 3 months ago and i am working on starting my build thread. i went with a 96 motor and 95 nv4500 trans. just finished rebuilding my 12v yesterday. i will not be lowering mine however. i will be using it daily as a work truck with a dump bed and snow plow and other things so i opted for a 3 inch body lift. how far did the transmission stick up through the factory hump?

I haven't got to work on my truck in a year now, really need to get back to it, just been super busy with work. This is the best pic I have with the floor cut out before the high hump was put in. Best I can tell with the trans cross I built its around 2-3 inches.

Ok thank you. That is good news. I was hoping mine would clear with a 3 inch body lift. Here is the link to my build thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=1#post6991923 we will say i got inspired to start it tonight hah

It's made some progress but hasn't gone together yet. Got the rockers and cab corners replaced and all the body work done on the cab, new to this truck doors, and fenders. It's all ready to final sand for paint. Next step is to get the rest of the parts I need to get the motor/trans in then paint.

Re: My 88 crew cab dually 12v cummins/nv4500 swap. If anyones done this please come i

How about some updates.

Currently doing pretty much the same swap into my 88 crew cab dually.

Was wondering if you had it running/driving yet.

I have the Dodge/Cummins slave and master cylinder. My truck was already converted to manual with an early GM NV4500.

Is the Dodge/Cummins clutch master cylinder rod at an angle compared to the clutch pedal?

The stock GM master is at a near 45* angle to keep the rod parallel to the clutch pedal pivot.

Thanks!!
