Just my $.02 but you need to paint the Chevrolet lettering the grill. The one in the red truck really pops.

here' s a couple more of my sheet metal really sucked was a really straight old truck before. did you have any damage to the back of your cab? I hit so hard the box left 2 perfect bolt indentations in the cab and I fear it bowed the entire cab.

No I didn't. That's crazy you had damage between the cab and bed from a front end collision. Did it bend the frame under the cab as well?

no sign of frame damage that we can see it's been on a lift a few times. I was going at least 40 when I got cut off in a intersection was always surprised it didn't end up a lot worse. I noticed now that I have the front clip off it again that there's some seams in the cab that are opened up not sure if it's from age/moisture or if it's from the accident. sorry not trying to hijack your thread just first one I've seen with that much damage to the front end and you did an excellent job bringing it back to life.

Jared was poking fun about how you've finished rebuilding 2 trucks in the time I've spent working on mine. I'm like "what???" so I had to see if you'd done a build thread. Looks like a good save on this one and you've got a pair of really fine trucks now. Are you letting your wife drive the red one, or has that one become a weekend cruiser? Nice job!

Nice work Lot of people don't know how many of us do this for a living. Some guy call it a parts truck? I call it a Walmart door ding. Really glad you were able to get it back to your liking hope you enjoy it. Jim

The red one is definitely the weekend cruizer and the white one was the daily driver. I actually hit a deer on the way home in december so back to the body shop i went. it wasn't bad but i ended up buying a new a/c condenser painting the right fender and the right door (the fender nicked the door, so rather that trying to blend the door my paint guy shot the whole thing). I was able to straiten the core support and front bumper, I had a new headlight bezel and headlight as well as a new turn signal. I also had to source a new grill-I got it cheap and the quality matched the price so i spent a while making it look better and making it fit...what a mess.

I also just re-did the exhaust and it sounds amazing. I will try to get a clip of it running and post it up. I went with dual Flowmasters turned down after the rear axle.

I topped this all off with a tune-up (new plugs, wires and oil change).

Now that I have all of the bugs worked out a buddy of mine decided he couldn't live without it, so he is going to buy it this Friday...typical. So now on to the next project...if I can find one.
