That dash is sick. Apparently DD has really stepped up their game since the last time I payed attention to their Back To The Future-esk junk.

Re: 69 K-10 Build for Dad

Not much new here...just collecting parts. It's been cold as balls, and I've been lazy.

The Vintage Air setup showed up a couple days ago, and also a new dash pad, and some column goodies.

Got the floor and rear of the cab all covered in sound deadening, and also took the door panels and sill plates to have them powdercoated in a "heavy steel metallic"

Tore the steering column apart to rebuild it with some new parts, and to paint it. What a bear. Never been that far into a tilt column before...hopefully I can remember how it all goes back together. Will post some pics of that stuff this weekend.

Sound deadening in the cab

Steering column pics. I don't ever want to rebuild an automatic tilt column again. Ever. lol.

Good work on the cab and steering column. I took mine all apart and still need to put it back together. Not looking forward to that day.

They're both new, but I think the lens will fit in an original indicator housing.

Re: 69 K-10 Build for Dad

Lots of wheels showing up around here lately.

Got a really good condition K1500 steering wheel for it.

Got a different set of 15x8 rallys to mount the 33-12.50-15 BFGs on

Re: 69 K-10 Build for Dad

Made a bunch of progress this weekend....the old man came down to thrash on it with me.

Dad working on the Vintage Air stuff

All new taillight lenses, buckets, and wiring harnesses. Also, the side markers are the LEDs from LMC truck.

Sound deadened the rear of the powdercoated door panels and installed them as well.

Got the cab all sound deadened, and cut the holes for the AC vents, and installed those

Started working on fabbing up an exhaust. Need to order up some more mandrel bends to keep going with it.

Re: 69 K-10 Build for Dad

Made a little progress...

Getting closer to finally putting on the cab. Want to finish up a few things on the chassis before the cab goes back on.

Got a bunch of exhaust stuff welded up.

Got the fuel lines stubbed at the frame. I'll make stainless braided hoses to go from here to the fuel rail.

New 4x4 indicator switch and wiring...broke the old one while doing the t-case rebuild.

Manifolds cleaned up nice

Got a kwik performance AC compressor bracket, and a Sanden SD7 compressor. Decided to do this vs. the stock truck compressor for looks and serviceability.

Man, you are knocking this project out quick!
Could I get more info on this:

What kind of cost? Ease of install? Can it be used with a stock compressor? thanks

Uses a Sanden SD7 7176 compressor. You can get them for about $160 on ebay. Same compressor the Vintage Air Front Runner accessory drive and the March Performance accessory setup uses.
