Posted via Mobile Device. I solved my steering coupling problem!! I cut off the original end coupler at the bottom of the steering column and cut a piece of tube and welded it to the end piece and drilled holes so I could attach it back to the bottom of steering column....
And I also rebuilt the original rag-joint with a kit from parts store, everything fits nice and tight plus my steering wheel setting level like it should, it was bout 1 inch sticking up more than it should have...

I got my Power Steering finally hooked-up!!!!
Thanks to a former board member Dreamer1 from the Square Bodies section hooking me up with a 1985 gear box and both hoses plus the fitting that goes behind the pump, Again Big Thanks Dreamer1....
The 85 hoses are a Great fit from the box across the frame to the pump...... I'm getting close to Breaking in that fat Cam...

Well last night I reworked my alt connector adding a resistor on the L side and a bigger gage wire to the S side of of the plug..
So now all I need to do is tie it in my harness which is already set up for a SI alternator, that's what I was running before I tore my engine down, this is for my CS alt..

Well this Week while Iam home I tackled my hood

I cleaned up all the rust on the front of the hood and I got a little down because I though I was not going to be able to use the hood, it was in bad shape ....
Anyways I know a lot of people don't agree with doing the bondo thing but until I can find a better hood this will have to do for now....

So the first thing I did was use a tiger paw sanding disk to remove all the rust and blisters, than I put three light coats of bondo sanding between coats, than I put some polyester topping on to smooth it all out, its not for a show truck just to get me back on the road....
I sprayed a good etching primer and sand that down than sprayed my top primer....again its something to get me back on the road....

Yesterday I got to spend a little more time on my truck.. I was able to do something I been debating on for a while, filling the hole left from removing my gas tank from behind the seat.
Anyway I had some sheet metal left over from when I trimmed my inner fender to get my radiator to fit, I used a piece of that (3in round) to weld close the hole, I blew a couple of holes

still trying to figure this MIG machine out... I topped it off with a Lil bondo and primer... Anyway I need more practice using a MIG machine.
