Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway

Thanks pics...just like being there.

My favorite was the window sticker with the seatbelt delete, $11 credit.

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway

This excites my inner motorhead but also makes me want to puke. Seeing these Brand spanking cars and trucks in this condition.
I agree, generally the prices are ridiculous but many of these can be cleaned with minor repairs and 5-10 years will see them on Barret-Jackson for twice the price. That 1st Gen C10 with the tree stump in the bumper will be worth 3 times the price if that stump is left there when it shows back up on the auction stage.

Thanks for the Pics.

Need more pics of that Lumina APV mini van!

Looks like the price of every patina'd 60-66 C10 across the just will go up a few thousand bucks after this is all said and done!

Nice pics, I cant believe a family member did not try to get some of the good ones in the shop in the past. I know if it was my dad or grandpaw that had them. I would not have gave up until I had them.

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway

About the family comment, who's to say some of the family members havent grabbed some of them and have them some where else waiting for another opportunity to arise in the years to come. Think about it, if these vehicles show up in a few years and the family has another secret stash....what would those be worth?????

It's funny there wasn't much publicity about any 67-69 camaros, chevelles, corvettes.....I wouldnt be surprised if something else doesnt arise from this.

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway

I watched about the first 45 min. I was amazed at the prices of the first 6 or 7 vehicles.
Amazed and aggravated at the stupid announcers---. The worst case of sentimental buying Ive ever seen. Youll see some of these on barrett-jackson or Mecum in a year or so.
They may even clean off some of they dust. -----That was a very effective marketing ploy. Gives that "real barn find" aire!

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway

I was wondering about the 1 gen Camaros and the 68-74 big block Vettes. Certainly family members snatched those up. Those are the ones that were stashed in the storage buildings. Probably mint condition cars.

If that old man was stashing APVs and Vagas it only stands to reason Vettes, Chevelles and Camaros were among the cache.

KCSA75
The estimates I heard locally was 4-6 times the population of Pierce which is about 1700.
It was absolutely crazy crowded !!!

It was painful to watch those guys struggling on the screen...they may be great on their regular show, but in a "live" setting, not so much.

Thanks for the great pictures! I'm still drooling over that row of Chevy trucks with a rainbow behind them. I would have spent way too much on parts if I had gone...and my arm would be limp and my voice gone for a week.

I wonder in the 70s/80s how many people in farm country bought Vettes and Camaros. Maybe my upbringing in a semi-rural area makes me think that way.

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway

i feel that even though the "experience" is equal to finding the titanic! it would have been only 10 more years they would have turned it into the best auto parts salvage yard around! looked as if the elliments were taking over pretty quick! sad, should of auctioned them off earlier! just my two cents..

Most of the cars they had there were stiffs that didn't sell. 4 door sedans and longbed stripper pickups. There were a few attractive ones like that cameo, but for the most part these were slow moving cars that didn't sell initially.
