So another day of welding and grinding.I dont really have any exciting progress but alot of work went into the stuff I got done today.I fixed some more troubled areas on the frame and welded up a bunch of holes that I wont be needing.I kind of thought it looked like the frame had chicken pox or something when I was done welding.I also got those spot on the bottom of the frame that are bent down straightened out.Looks nice and straight there now.I pulled the front cab mounts off and ran a straight edge up to the front of the frame and both sides were bang on.Well within 0.032" so im sure that this ol girl wont notice that going 120 down the highway.

Any who, truck is looking awesome. That slammed green chevy you have hanging on the wall, is that a poster? Did you make it?

I definiylt agree with wondering what the point was for all the holes!Check back on the next page of the build, there is a better pic of the poster,slammed66 got the rendering done for me and I got the poster made from an online poster making company.postermaker.com I think it was.

Been working the last couple days,unfortunatly not on the project,but actual day job stuff.But I did get a teaser photo from slammed66 of my new fuel tank that showed up at his place in red deer.Not gonna need it for a little bit,but pretty exciting that its in the country.I'm sure you all know the tank and the supplier,Boyd welding,but I will be looking forward to it showing up here shortly.From what I've seen so far they are really good quality looking tanks!

Thanks Tony!Well I know I saw a teaser picture but I'm pretty excited,I finally got to pick up my boyds welding fuel tank from the ol greyhound today.Thanks Matt!It's a really nice looking tank,the welds are a thing of beauty!I'll just plumb it up throw the engine back in and hit the key........right!Ok,I got a little bit left to do.

No not that exact location,there is a sawhorse in the way to push it any further at the moment.Ill be moving it ahead some when i go to mount it permanently.

Well its been some time since I was in the garage.Work kinda got in the way for over a month but i finally got the fire going again and made some smoke and dust out there.I decided I would box my frame since I went to all the trouble of filling in all those holes in the frame.Let me tell you,filling in all those holes took alot longer than I had expected,but its done now so I wont have to do it again.I figure I will weld some of the boxed part and bolt some of it on there also since I plan on running my fuel and brake lines inside and will want to access in there for installation.So I threaded some 1" round stock so that some of the things I had to bolt on wouldn't require nuts to drop inside the welded parts.So it took awhile to get the ball rolling but I got one section done today.

Ahh its only twice as much as Edmonton,nothin workin 3000 hours a year wont take care of,lol.Yeah I got the burb in June and was rippin it around all summer.

Well another day of screwing around and not a whole lot of progress,but these days are needed to get to the finished product.I got some more of the frame boxed in and got my bolted in sections done after the steady bearing crossmember.The bolted in sections took longer than I thought,theres a pile of screwing around to bolt a piece in other than to just weld it.Anyway I got both sides done,close to where the transmission crossmember is going to bolt in so I think I will wait till I have the engine and tranny in to finish boxing the rest.
