Might as well check it out. Auto Zone Store is...500ft from my house, they'll test it for me. Got my headers from Jegs today, 69090 Hedmans. Not like generic pic in Jegs or Summit, (i knew that) #1cyl tube goes straight back horizontaly OVER top of 3+5 before turning down behind #5 cyl. CAN'T IMAGINE being able to get to #5 plug. I dig the radical look but it sure looks congested. Who's used them and how is the fit.? (other side is same) Still cant post pics.

Finally... cam, lifters, rockers and timing gear set to builder. Next Fri he says. Ill bring it home and do intake, carb, fuel-water pumps, pan, dist,
paint etc etc. I have a lot to learn, but will have good help at every step. Lonnie-I ordered stroker relieved, 2pc rms, SUM G3500X pan. It was cheap, tell me I did good. Chrome junk yard pan fit up on my block but builder shook his head too. lol

I have used that pan before on a 350, no problems, good fit. Degrease and paint it which ever color you want.

Man, I tell ya. Gal spent an hour w me to learn all this, we posted the pics for practice, she left and Im lost again. Daughter in law, Ill get her back tomorrow. We did the photobucket thing Itll be good when I override my short term memory issues. lol I cant post **** right but do a lot of photos and videos that photobucket will help me have fun with. Just re read your reply. Other day, Climbing into eng bay installing tach, I found flat woven 1/2 wide cable from block to frame. 12in long pass side rear of motor. Since starting prob is still half there Ill replace that cable today and let u know. Good luck to me.

Yup, that's the ground! Sand everthing shiny, dielectric tune up grease over everthang, and slap that dude on there! might not fix it, but it can't hurt!

You gotta know by now Im a struggling mechanic, so here is what is happening. Everything sanded and shiny, made a cable out of good spare poss batt cable and 3/8 self tapper into frame. Didnt like ground going into firewall rubber coating. Anyway, nope, that wasnt it. So..turned distrib a hair back and forth a few times, now it starts everytime, hot or cold but Ive lost 20%? of power. So..no more hard sstarting when warm but it doesnt run right. Vacuum advance? dont understand it very well but someone, somewhere brought that up. And I broke left tail light lens taking it off for bulb replacement. Old and brittle and I swear it was glued on. Looks like 9.99ish new or I could check junk yard. I might as well get both and maybe the whole assembly. Its a good thing I love working on this truck every waking moment

You can sand those used lenses with 1500-2000 wet, and then buff with a buffer and some polish. Almost good as new. I always use Meguiar's polish. You can get a quart and it will last for several years. You can polish every piece of plastic, including dull headlights on newer cars/trucks.

Yea, it kept me from starting a build thread, but you have motivated me to do it. I have gotten much better. You can drag and drop your photos to the bucket, makes it faster.

Not a show truck yet. My $1000 twin blade money maker going to dealer for Toro recall work. (one blade not exactly parallel to ground, cuts uneven, only about 1/8 in but noticicable. I told em months ago but they thought I was crazy)[IMG][/IMG]...junky house is neighbors
