That's a great price. The only ones I've seen out here at that price are shredded or incomplete. Post up some mounting pics when you get them installed.

That tank is sexy. Make me second guess putting the tank back behind the seat.

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
More exhaust mock up...
drilled some holes thru the OEM crossmember (to eventually be replaced by a dropmember) Enjoy! How its going to dump... still need to connect to the Spintech mufflers though yet... and add the H-pipe beforehand.

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
Creative! Have you cycled the trailing arms and do you think if you go with a drop member ,it may interfere with the tubes hitting the arms?

Right now I cycled it as much as I could (jumping on the tailgate when its down....) wasn't even close. (still had an 1" + which means I had another 10+ degrees of trailing arm travel.... aka 8+ inches of axle travel)

I thought you had cats at first but now I see they are flex parts?

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
Yup... just some short braided mesh flex pipe to isolate engine movement from the rest.... especially since the truck isn't chassis stiffened.... theres so much flex potentially in these frames I decided to run them.

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
Pounded it out tonight.... its done... just needs to be welded.
The H-pipe i wanted closer to the collectors... but quite frankly its only 32" away vs. the normal 12-24".... and its better than no H pipe. Really excited how it all came out... suspension travel clearances, driveshaft clearances etc. Enjoy!

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
Looking great! What did you use to cut a hole in the crossmember? I'm thinking about doing my exhaust in a similar way to keep it tucked up. Love the idea of the flex piping. I have an X pipe, but not way to separate the exhaust after the header, so it's impossible to get it out with the bed on. Thinking of using some flex after the muffler and clamp it on one size for easier removal and the ability to flex with frame/motor shifting.
Are you going to use a floor shifter with the bench seats? See any fit issues with the cupholders? |

I like your dash concept. Only think I would do different is put two gauges in the far right part.
