Richard - "Monkeys, I just got this car out of a dirt bank were this farmer was using it to keep the creek from washing away his crops or something for the past 40 years and we've got to have it ready for the Michael Jackson Children's Charity Auction at Neverland Ranch in three days. So you all get to it while I go drink some beer".

I always wondered if there was couple crews of guys working on the cars that are not seen on the show to make dead lines if any of those are real.

they film mon - fri 8-5 and are making a ton of money doing so aaron has a 3 man shop that he tends to afterwards as well as the other guys maintaining, when the season is over they go back to there 8-5 jobs or there own shops.... they build the cars there the guys in the shop on the show are car guys... the shop is actual shop its just not accessable to the public used only for the show

Are you saying the cars seen on the show are built at the Gas Monkey Shop or at other locations and the Gas Monkey shop is all staged shots?

No, he's saying everything you see on tv is done at the shop, by the guys, but it's all staged for TV, as in there are no real customers, stupid deadlines, or BS drama.

Again, no offense that I don't believe you 100%, but that's all friggin' hilarious if true.

Re: Check this out Aaron from Fast N' Loud

I will keep watching it as long as they are hot rodding old cars. I'm sure Richard, Aaron & the crew think a lot of it is cheesy too. I'd like to have a shop and have the producers pay for building the cars until I had enough money I didn't need them anymore. I think that is what happened to Outlaw Garage which I really liked too.

Re: Check this out Aaron from Fast N' Loud

NCIS is the #1 show on TV. The forensics lab is run by a flaky punker girl, all by herself, who rocks out while doing vital delicate work and Gibbs is totally accepting of her unconventional ways. Yet,he's a total hardass on the crew of four diligent investigators who act totally serious about their work and always come through. Dinozzo is goofy as all get out,can hardly speak in a normal manner, and admits to having step mother issues, yet cleared what would be one of the toughest back ground/security checks known to get such a job. They work out of a big headquarters, yet you'd think the whole deal is run by this handful of people. If they need to collaborate with the FBI, it's always with the same one guy.

I must confess that I enjoy watching Richard lose his butt at the auto auctions.
