Nice build man! I have a thing for 59 stepsides with 5.3's & 8.8's
Have you picked up a drive shaft yet? FWIW, mine is currently at the driveline shop being shortened to fit my truck. I'm running the same drivetrain as you (5.3/4l60e-Explorer 8.8) and I went with a shortened aluminum police Crown Vic shaft. |

I paid $225 to have mine built, but hey, yours is running and mine isn't! Time is money too, keep at it.

Been busy.
Replaced roof Shaved drip rail...what a pain Filled in cowl vent Patch lower hinge pockets and cab corners...no other rust Smoothed firewall After hours and hours of sanding finally got first coat of primer |

Rear of cab. I'm using Clausen all u need primer surfacer. I've used this before of my last project, 70 mach 1 mustang. Works great.

Scored a set of 2007 suburban 8 way seats. After much discussion w other on this board I'm"hot wired" the seats and have them running. Starting the mounts. Basically using 3/16 plate and bolting thru the floor into original mounts.

Goal today was to get truck driving so I can easily move it in and out of garage while I work on panel gaps,,etc. hooked up trans linkage , installed battery and cables behind seat and fired it up.
