Here is how much room I have. I used a ls mount kit from early classic. I can fit my whole hand width that's like a good 7 inches maybe more from the sensor to the firewall.

I am using the same mounts and don't have that much room. But if I were to use something like you drew on the paper they would hit the firewall or close to it. I didn't get to check it out but will try tomorrow. Actually I am only worried about the height. As far as the DD sensor it will just above the VLOM plug so close to the intake I don't think you will see it.
What intake are you using?

Interesting... Wonder why yours sits back so far.. I currently have a stock intake for an LY2 4.8 L 2008 2009

I have the stock lc9 truck intake. I will get a picture of it tomorrow.

Seems roughly about the same clearance I have. In my drawing I think that would work. Or your idea that you took a picture of. Of course non are ascetically pleasing. Maybe a a straight would be in the shape of the letter F would be better. But still pretty ugly. It's a shame dd cant get an update together to make it easier for us folks.
