I'm pretty sure the 'CST' or 'Custom' door emblems (where your elbow hangs out) went away after 68. That would be why Sicklajoie's is a CST and doesn't have them I believe - that and the fact that when a Custom Camper is ordered, the Custom or CST fender emblem in 69-70 is trumped by the Custom Camper nameplate, as Sicklajoie mentioned.

Keep in mind that it's just a name plate option - it didn't include the camper wiring, mirrors, etc. I like the 72 approach, because then you can show off your Trim Level nameplate, like "Cheyenne Super," on the fender and your "CustomCamper" script on the door at the same time!

Re: 1968 CST camper special 50th

Crap.

I bought my '68 C-20 because it was a straight, clean, one-owner truck that would be a good starting point to build what I want. I've been planning on a color change and swapping in an LS engine and 5-speed tranny.

Then I find out (here) it's a 50th anniversary edition.

What to do, what to do.......

Just in case you need a picture. :-)

That white K20 looks pretty good, can't help but wonder if it would be happier living in California?

Dang Tim, I had almost made my mind up not to go that route! Man that's a good looking rig. Is that a true 50th k20?

I live just over the Uncompahgre from you. Nice find. My preference is 4x4's. You already have that and now a fine example of a 50 th edition. My vote is for continuing looking for another cab or start rust repair. Can't help you on a 327 but I have leads on proplution items, could ask around for a 327.

At present I do not. Have patience and keep looking. How much rust do you have in the 4x4?

So which direction does the lines on the gold material go when I have the seat recovered?

If you can't see it well enough in this picture I can send you better photos. This is an original seat in a survivor truck. Carpet is new!

And it still gets a spring workout hauling wood home on a trailer.

Does the SPID plate on your 50th call for the insert on the seat or is it not listed at all?
