And I will say that Mike is a great guy, I think every time I went there he made me take stuff home. I wouldn't even be asking for something...just checking it out, and he'd say toss it in the back of your truck. That's just how he is.
I doubt a little rain is going to hurt us any.

I'm hoping to make it, but it is definately not a sure thing at this point. Kinda busy with work, wouldn't be able to make it till afternoon/evening on saturday. If I miss it, have a great time, and if your going up I-75, make sure to downshift by the Cincinnati-Dayton Road exit (by my house!!).

longhorn Jeff just called me, he'll be here. The only thing that'll stop him is if the Longhorn craps out on the side of I-70.
He asked me to let y'all know that he is looking for a set of trailing arms, the cheaper the better. A buddy of his needs them for a roundy round car. (dirt track i think he said)

i'd like to add a few things to my shopping list - if anyone has them --- if not, i'll just end up ordering them - but if you have them with you, i will purchase them...

i am looking for:

a driver's side wing-vent window assembly,
rubber seals for both passenger and driver vent windows,
a driver's side window crank mechanism,
a 10ohm speaker for my little GM radio,
350 HEI distributor,
a 1968 hood (no louvers - LOL),
screws for the headlights (both adjustment screws, and assembly screws),

ok- i think thats it for now.
i was just out workin on the truck tonight, and came up with all this stuff.

see yall there!
ciao!
jewels.

Jewls, i may be able to get an HEI for you. I plan on going to the yards today if I get a chance, and I'll see if they have anything we could use.
If you bring a set of plug wires, we can install it at Mike's.

Sure wish I could make it up there, would love to meet all of you. My torque converter in the 700r is vibrating and I have to go to the tranny shop tuesday so I am afraid to drive much. I have had more trouble with this 700r's converters. Hope everyone has a great time.

grrrr....I can't make it. I blew one of my front wheel cylinders yesterday on the way home from work...on the highway, doing approx 60 mph, and came to a red light...pedal hit the floor and nothing. had to go thru the red light and swerve onto my road, missing an oncoming car. luckily the fuzz didn't spot me. scared the crap outta me. anywho, now i can't drive it anywhere until its fixed, can't enter it in the local carshow either, and I don't trust the Festiva to make a 3 hour trip. I was looking forward to ths, I guess it will have to be next time.

Hope y'all have fun!!
I'm not gunna be able to make it.
I guess were gunna be traveling with some other people that are going to the race tomorrow too. I hate trying to follow (or having someone else follow) on long trips.
Anyhow, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun.
