Re: 85 C10 - Street Trucks Freshman Build
Now on to the middle section of the dash. It was obvious the '64 dash components weren't going to be used and we needed to make some adjustments to fit the Accuair controller, stereo, and Vintage Air a/c controls.
So we cut out the middle section, welded in a patch panel and then measured and cut for our components. In the last picture, Marcel is welding in the holder for the Accuair E-Level controller. |

Re: 85 C10 - Street Trucks Freshman Build
The last thing to do was cut and install the a/c vents. These are from Vintage Air.

I remember seeing this. And it's what inspired me to do one in my v next project.

Re: 85 C10 - Street Trucks Freshman Build
Here are some shots of the gauge install and final shots of the dash all painted.
I chose to replace the stock gauges with some Auto Meter gauges and a Boese billet dash. |

Very cool build! I suppose you might know that Red Rocker belongs to another board member now.

Re: 85 C10 - Street Trucks Freshman Build
It's been a few weeks since I last posted. This set of pics shows the install of the No Limit fuel tank. Anyone who owns a C10 knows those saddle tanks suck! The No Limit tank mounts behind the axle between the rear frame rails.
