Re: No more broken door pull strap covers!! Made my own, let me know what you think!!
I'd love a set. But the trim has broken stud. Any idea how to fix those.
I'm about to buy a billet set. The trim price has gone up.

Never even really thought about doing that. This was just something I did on the side to fix my problem. Lol. I am still checking with a few other places and maybe I can still do better on the cost. I am hopeful at least.

Re: No more broken door pull strap covers!! Made my own, let me know what you think!!
After some digging around I found that the claimed "GM" caps in the parts book are not NOS pieces. So, Depending on the current cost and availability of a set I would still like to get some.

Re: No more broken door pull strap covers!! Made my own, let me know what you think!!
Alright guys, got my calls in and should have the lead time back in the morning. For a short run like we are doing the cost will be $140. That is the straight cost to me plus 3% to account for paypal fees. I want to get these made so there is zero profit in here at this price but worth it to me if you guys like them and enjoy them. I should hear back in the morning on lead time. I am guessing it will be no more than 3-5 days. Shipping should be super cheap and wouldnt invision it going over $5. Not sure how it will be for you guys in canada. I have actually never shipped anything there.
I will need to get committed buyers though. I wont ask for the entire amount up front but i will need a deposit from everyone to know how many commitments i really have. The price gets up there quick at 140 bucks a pop so i need some assurance everyone will stick behind their request. I will go with a $50 deposit and the rest once they are ready to ship out. Does that work for eveybody? If you are in shoot me a pm that you are and we will go from there. I wont take deposits until I have a firm time on availability just to be fair to everyone interested. I am going to post this up in the for sale section now as an official for sal thread. |

Re: No more broken door pull strap covers!! Made my own, let me know what you think!!
Oh man. $140 a set is little high for me right now. I need to fix the A/C first. Summer is coming. I have to replace a dead high pressure switch. R134 is now up to $15+ a can. WTH??

Re: No more broken door pull strap covers!! Made my own, let me know what you think!!
Wish I could make some more but I have to make a few sets in order to get the price down. If there was enough interest in another batch I would definitely get them made.

Re: No more broken door pull strap covers!! Made my own, let me know what you think!!
You got a great idea here. If you do another batch than count me in. I would put my door pull strap trim peices back on and take off the plain ones I put on from getting tired of breaking the covers.

Re: No more broken door pull strap covers!! Made my own, let me know what you think!!
I am loving the ones on my truck. They are awesome. I will keep bumping the thread to if interest remains. If so I will try to get another run done. Last time it worked out to $140 a set (4 pieces to outfit 2 doors).
