Re: Finished my 1963 SWB
Man that thing is saweet. Your making me think of ordering drop springs now for my shortwide resto. I see the orange stock height one and see yours and its killing me, never had anything stock before.

Re: Finished my 1963 SWB
I used Rustolium Satin black, sanded through to the high spots then satin clear to protect the pine. Will see how it lasts. Still need to patina the strips and bolts though. MarK recommends POR-15 for durability .

In my humble opinion, it would be a shame to change directions now on your SWB truck. You've put a high level of experience and detail into the truck that will really stand out in the end. That orange truck I posted just has too many incorrect things done/added that take away from a true stocker appeal . At the same time I was building this 63, I started working on a 63 SWB fleetside custom that will be 100% stock and very similar to yours. I'm excited about it ! My point is , whether its stock or modified they are equally as fun, but the stockers I feel command a certain respect from all . DONT GIVE UP !

Re: Finished my 1963 SWB
Another wheel and tire change . Few too many burnouts with that set. Thought wider might help......it didnt , still have the same problem. LOL
