Re: 65 SWB Porterbuilt Extreme Drop project

This might be a really stupid question but here goes. Is there a benefit to running the porterbuilt cross member with stock control arms?...will it set lower?

also do you Have to run rack pinion with these cross members?

Re: 65 SWB Porterbuilt Extreme Drop project

With the stock arms you can still lay it out. I don't know if you need to cup the lowers to do it or if you can get away with plated arms. It may depend on tire diameter. I think the PB arms are for a narrower track in front and maybe better camber control, not to mention better looks.

Any reason you wouldn't want to run a rack and pinion?
