Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
That is almost a twin to mine.....or at least what mine looked like originally! (mine didn't have the white top originally.....and it has lots of bumps and bruises)
Very nice find! I wish mine looked that good!

Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
Wow. That truck does look like mine.
I just plan on replacing a few wearable items and weatherstripping. Not much else except drive it and enjoy it for what it is.

Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
Nice find, there arent many around like that. Its always nice to know the history of the truck too. I was able to retrace some of the history of mine and its just fun to know.

Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
The decal is on that explains how to set up the carburator for the best milage.
Today I changed the rear end fluid, tranny fluid, engine oil, brake fluids, checked the brakes and gave ol Owen a tune-up. Runs great.

Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
Thanks everybody for the good comments. I was very luck to find one on this condition and the known history and documented milage of 21572.

Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
Nice shots. Whatever you do, don't get carb cleaner spray anywhere near your Carb tuning decal. Also I still have one of those Argent Silver hubcaps with the red/orange Chevy bowtie. It hangs proudly on my shop wall. The OEM 17.5" rims the hubcaps came with wore out about 100,000 miles ago.

Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
Arb cleaner or engine degreaser with mess up any ol decal. These hubcaps I've never seen before. I like them.

Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
Here's what's left of my carb decal. I also noticed mine's upside down -- which would be handy if you were leaning over the fender and adjusting the Monojet.

Re: My new 68 Stepper - all original
Oh my, my heart just skipped a beat or 2 and there is drool all over my keyboard. As much as I like these trucks lowered seeing an original like this just makes me weak in the knees. One day I will find an example like this, it will be my other forever truck.
