This is how it looks right now. Like I said, after widening the new wheel tubs I'll finish up the welding and smooth it all out.

Very Nice. I really like the way you are bringing that about.

Re: Gas Tank Relocate HELP PLEASE!!!

How is the filler tube ran under the bed? And is this only accomplished by widening the wheel tubs?

I used flexible fuel hose from another vehicle along with a piece of fuel grade hose from a local rubber supply store. Fuel door is from an S10. I had to notch the frame to route the hose but it works like I want. The reason for widening the tubs is to accommodate new wider wheels and tires but widening tubs wasnt necessary to run fuel filler. The Schrader valves for the rear air bags are inside the fuel door as well.

This is the Chevy van tank, not noticeably visible under the roll pan. I'm redoing the filler this winter and going with 2 inch widened tubs so it looks a little rough right now. Hope this helps.
Nice how much work to get it to fit between the frame ?

Thanks. Not too much work. I welded a piece of square tubing in place to bolt the straps to at the very the rear and bolted straps to cross sill towards the front.

Re: Gas Tank Relocate HELP PLEASE!!!

I really like verdells wheel tub filler location!! I used a 93 s10 blazer fuel tank and sender will accept the pump for fuel injection. I like the cut off corners so to have more room for tail pipes..the only photo I have at this time

Re: Gas Tank Relocate HELP PLEASE!!!

I used a 92 Jeep Wrangler tank and a long hose going to the original filler location.
Looks factory.

I really like this idea I had a 65 Impala with the gas door in the license plate like that and I think it would work out real nice. It was only like $90 brand new and the fuel door could just be bolted or welded on pretty easy.. Nice work.

Any pics on how you mounted your fuel tank straps?
