I don't 100% remember, but I don't think they made a direct fitting from a -6AN fitting to the M14 (inlet) and M16 (outlet) thread that is coming off the sender. Don't quote me on that though.

Strong work. Love pic of your child turning the wrench. I just bought my first classic, 72 K5 blazer. I would love to be able to do this one day. How long did it take and where did you learn this craft from?
Thanks

Yea, she wants to be in the middle of EVERYTHING.

Congrats on your new purchase. You are going to love it.

I am going on 1 year for my swap but I ended up doing A LOT more than expected while I had it torn down. (swapped the frame, etc) This site was extremely helpful in aiding the process and it tremendously helped that guys like ls1nova71 have done this 5 times and live down the road (kinda).

I wasn't planning on doing the swap but with my luck, my engine let go about 100 miles after purchasing my truck. The chaos all started soon after!

Guys like Hemi43 cheat because they have enough tooling in their garages to be a production factory! LOL. All while us poor folk don't even own a vise!

But in the end, all the hard work was worth it, right? I mean, you did end up with a really nice Bronco.

Nice build, I love these trucks, I'm doing a 1955 end gen, on a 1983 chassis 4x4. And putting a 6liter from a 2006 truck my brother wrecked. I'll post pitches when I figure it out.

What did you have to do when you changed frames...with the vin # on the driver side frame?

Re: 1972 Jimmy + 5.3/4L60E/NP205

There is a VIN mid way down on the driver side frame. I cut that one out and it matches the VIN on the body at least. The one that was originally supposed to be on the front is probably sitting in a junkyard in Wyoming right now...Wasn't too worried about that. Just wanted to be able to put my family in it and be safe.

Awesome blazer. I am converting from carb to efi and having issues finding out if 87 blazer tank has a baffle for fuel pump. On summits site they say non baffled sump. I c where you used one , does it have a baffle and is it working fine for you

I originally bought a 25 gallon tank and it DID NOT have a baffle. I went back to LMC and got a 31 gallon tank and it did have a baffle. Now, the "baffle" is no where close to a stock looking LS style fuel sending unit. This is more or less a bowl that is only a few inches tall. I have let it get down to a little below 1/4 tank and it's has been fine and no starvation issues as of yet. Only 800 miles on it since the swap though too.

Where did you route your brake lines? Just started working on the install and found the swap cross member lives in the same place the brake lines do.

Also forgot to ask but did you order all of your bushings thru the same company? They all match so I suspected that you did just wanted to know if it was a kit or something

What X-member are you using? My pac-fab had a hole on the passenger side to run them thru if I remember correctly. I still don't think I ran anything thru it anyway. I just ran them where they were convenient and worked! I can look in a few days.

Yes, I ordered all thru Summit Racing and they are all poly bushings from Energy Suspension. If you need part numbers I can probably find them.

Re: 1972 Jimmy + 5.3/4L60E/NP205

I am using the dirty dingo mount and there is only space between the top of the mount and frame rail, so stock lines won't work at all. I don't really like the space at the top but but that may be my best option. If you have the part numbers for the bushing that would be great! If you can't find them that is fine I'm sure someone at summit would be happy to sell them to me. I am using a 6l90 with a np205 so my trans mount and transfer case mount will have to be moved back and then modify my drive shafts. I am hoping to get mine running by the summer so the wife and I can enjoy it! I need to start a thread soon, but my truck is just a roller with the motor/trans stabbed in for now. Still waiting on my AA to come in. Thanks for the summit recommendation in your thread. It saved me $150!
