Re: Another piece of the puzzle showed up.

By the part number your clutch is Buick , not Chevrolet . Again it may work but is not "correct". Theres a bunch of different clutches out there like this all designed for different combinations. Looks like you do have the correct blade because that particular clutch has the larger hub which also means a larger bolt pattern to the blade. Heres the exact application for your clutch.
Fits 64 special Skylark V8 HD cooling ,police,Delcotron or A/C.
65-67 Special ,Skylark, Le Sabre V8 with a/c,ATC & HD Cooling EXCEPT GS
69-70 special ,skylark 350 with a/c
69-70 lesabre with A/c.

Re: Another piece of the puzzle showed up.

Too funny, I bought the second one... I knew it wasn't correct. The one I had before got trashed at the platers so I had to get something that was nice and nos. Oh and cheap

Re: Another piece of the puzzle showed up.

Nice job on finding one that would fit the truck blade ! Heres pictures of the physical difference between Winstons and the correct Chevy clutch. The used one on the right is a Buick clutch.

Yes . I found the blade number in a 1967 Chevrolet parts book . They List the blade the same way or application as the clutch . That number was superseded by two different 6 digit numbers in 1972 but those numbers end up being 7 blade fans. I ran into a clutch Yelmer that has a longer stem or is spaced out further than the ones pictured nos . Book states there's a "second design " ? Which I think these short shaft ones are ? Have you noticed a date on these blades ? The orange one I posted has a 68 stamped in it . Winston's it looks to have a 6 ?

The orange one has a stamp "68" or is it 89 ? Winston's I could see a 6 stamp. I have one more I can look at. Will look tomorrow .

Heres what I was talking about. Looks more like 89 by the way the font is.

That's what happens when you order parts without seeing if you already have them. I just found 3 glove box hardware sets in my toolbox.
