you are correct sir, I am using a flap disc... I think its an 80 grit...maybe 120 it's not super aggressive

it is 80 grit. they are bad @ss... but it's still a good idea to be cautious with the grinder. it's just a bunch of pieces of sand paper stuck together. they last a good long time also.

I will have to tweak the bottom hinge a bit, it isn't square, but I'm making progress.

Home depot and lowe's have them... I buy mine from my local welding supply they are much cheaper than the big boys...

I just bought one tonight, but 36 grit

. I didnt realize how well theyd work, now I have to use a bit of bondo, exactly what I didnt want. What is the ideal grit for grindin welds without grindin your sheetmetal too much?

I wish there were more hours in a day... or I didn't have to keep a day job...I am really getting pumped up about this modification... I am super pleased with how everything has turned out so far...I guess this means I can cut the dash now?
