Re: 65 long bed step side
Did you have any issues with the fitment of the 22 transit wheels?
I just purchased a 63 C-10 fleet side long bed and I want to change the wheels. I am putting air ride on it for suspension, I decided to go with EZ Ride. I have drum brakes front and back so for now no drop spindles or C notch. I will see how it looks and rides first and if its not low enough for me then maybe I will change to rotors and add the drop spindles in front and c notch in rear to get it even lower. I was looking at the Mob Steel wheels and the rep said if i run 20x8 in front and 20x9 in back i won't have any issues with rubbing or fitment and won't need to do any mods. The transits look the same to me and are so much more affordable but I only see them in 22x9 for front and back, I really don't want to go any smaller then 20"s I'm fine going bigger with 22's but don't really want to do any mods to make them fit. I know the the center hole on the rim needs to be machined a bit larger to fit the drum but I'm ok with that just don't want to cut any wheel wells or shorten axles for now. You have a really great looking truck! Thanks for your input, Jerry |

Re: 65 long bed step side
tires are a 265/35/22
other than milling the center hole out bigger grinding down the rivet so the wheels sit flush on the drum in the front and a 1" spacer in the rear no other modifications needed. if i didnt run a spacer the tire was rubbing on the bed for me. |
