HI PHILLIP -- SHOOT DON'T TAKE IT PERSONAL WHEN SOMEONE COMES BACK WITH A REPLY FULL OF GOOD NATURED RIBBING. AND DON'T ASSUME EVERYONE THAT COMES BACK WITH A REPLY YOU DON'T CARE FOR IS 14 EITHER (I'VE BEEN OUT OF SCHOOL SINCE NIXON WAS PRESIDENT TOO). MAYBE IT'S JUST ME... BUT MOST ALL OF YOUR POST SEEM TO COME OFF AS BRAGGING JUST A LITTLE (WELL ALOT) (YOU ALWAYS SEEM TO MENTION YOU BUYING A HUMMER BUT NEVER MENTION THE SUZUKI SAMERI PARKED IN THE BACKGROUD OF YOUR PICS.)& THIS ATTITUDE THAT EVERYTHING I HAVE FOR SALE IS ULTRA NICE & WORTH TOP DOLLAR & EVERTHING I WANT TO BUY IS WORTH PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR ISN'T GETTING IT. 99% OF THE PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD ARE JUST SIMPLE HARD WORKING INDIVIDUALS, INTERESTED IN OLD TRUCKS, AND ARE NOT THE LEAST BIT INTERESTED OR IMPRESSED WITH HOW MUCH, OR HOW LITTLE MONEY ANYONE ELSE HAS. THIS IS A PLACE WHERE EVERYONE IS ANNONAMOYS & EQUEAL & TO COME ACROSS OTHERWISE, IS JUST ASKING FOR SOMEONE TO POKE FUN AT YOU. AS FAR A THESE KIDS GO, H@LL THEY'VE GOTTA LEARN ABOUT THESE OLD TRUCKS SOMEWHERE, & IT'S A WHOLE LOT BETTER HAVING THEM HANG OUT HERE (I KNOW THEY CAN BE A PAIN SOMETIME, BUT WE ALL WERE) THAN CAUSING TROUBLE & GETTING INTO DRUGS & REAL TROUBLE. LIGHTEN UP & REREAD YOUR OWN POSTS BEFORE YOU SUBMIT THEM & THINK ABOUT HOW IT'S GOING TO COME ACROSS TO THE PEOPLE READING IT, & DON'T KNOW YOU.

OH & THAT BUS WAS AT HOT AUGUST NITES IN RENO THIS YEAR, & GIVING RIDES FOR (I THINK) $5.00 DONATIONS TO SOME NON-PROFIT DRUG PREVENTION PROGRAM. IT IS COOL AS H@LL WITH I BIG BLOCK & 4 WHEEL STEERING. JOHN

I Have a Suzuki that If anyone cared to notice, has a tow bar that is used to follow behind a Motorhome. It also gets 30 mpg when gas is over the $2 range and if anyone cared to look just a little farther, there is a Corvette hiding. I am not one to brag and that is a comment that Ill file with the $hit Ive taken from the punk little bastards that have pm'd me these past few days. Ive worked me ass off for over 30 nyears to get where I am. I never see remarks like yours, John, about other guys opusting pictures of projects. The more I think about it, the more Im beginning to just say F**K off to everyone that slams me. Period. Ive spent thousands with members here and they have done the same with me. That is great. This was ONCE a fun place to visit but now its like returning to High School. Enough of this crap. lets let this thread die as it was started with me wanting to show you opinionated people a nice ride I saw on my last trip to Chico. The big yellow School bus. That was it. Then I get slammed with PM's by the little brats asking where are the pictures. Well, I tried to post them but the site was down. I still got blasted. Well, for the little brats that thought I wasnt quick to post, all I can say is Kiss my Ass. That will be the last picture of any good looking truck I ever share with anyone here.
As for the Bragging crap. I state fact. Someone asks how my shop is coming along and to post a picture and I do just that. Then Im told that Im bragging. Well, excuse me. If I wanted to brag, I would show you a picture of my home in Edmond Oklahoma complete with the 250 indoor stalls for my horses. Would that make you happy? Im here to talk trucks. If that isnt ok, then suggest to Josh that I get the boot. Anyone that has a problem with that can also KISS MY COMPLETE ASS

im only 16 and have my first (actually 3) truck(trucks). i try not to be a firestarter and am interested in fixing my truck up. i wish i had the money that phillip has. i think that working on my truck is fun and some other people just dont understand. i dont owe anything to them. i just go about my business. some of my friends like my truck and some dont. i like old cars/trucks. this is probably because of my grandfather who owned his own gas station here in texas and in pa for a while and he has a love of old cars. i admire him because he knows so much. my moms bf and my dad also have had awesome old cars and trucks. my moms boyfriend helps me do all the stuff i cant do myself. just yesterday he spent the whole day doign the motor mounts. they were a pain. he has spent a lot of time that he did not have to to helping to fix my trucks...

im just a 16 year old not trying to start any virtual fires

Hi Phil,

I'm not trying to be negative here, but constructive. Sometimes when I read posts where another member thinks it is flaming or negative I don't see it that way all the time. See, reading printed material could seem a lot different than it is intended to be. The demeenor and expression of the person typing it might be totally different than in person. That's why when i'm trying to post something that is supposed to sound funny or tongue in cheek, I try to put smiley's, but sometimes forget. I haven't been on any automotive related boards until this one but I am not new to message boards. I've been on "martial arts" boards for a long time but have long quit. Try weeding out the real ones on that board. Some come on there just to engage in, as I call it "verbal sparring" (flaming) just for the fun of it and some come on there to pretend they are someone they are not. I am glad to say that I have never seen that done on this board, even by the younger members .

I agree with everything you said, specially about reading your post before you hit the send button, but I don't think you followed your own advise when you hit the send button on the above post. I know you were angry, or it read that way to anyway. Maybe you just forgot the smileys. But read your post again. How many members with under 20 posts can you prove are rookies? I think the comment about "...rice rockets" is totally uncalled for.

I've read most of your posts and it didn't sound like something coming from you. I know a lot of kids drive foreign and domestic home modified small sports/race cars but a lot of adults do as well. I don't own one of these but I have seen the knowlege and technical know how put into these. This is one reason why I like older trucks. They are plain easier. I watched a 50+ year old man installed twin turbos in a non-turbo 300zx in his small garage. I didn't think it was possible. There didn't seem to be enough space. He might be one of those kids with less than 20 posts here...you never know.
Just to be honest I am more impressed in 2.0 engines putting out 300 hp's @ 16 mpg than 6.0's putting out 500 @ 8 mpg. But I still like my truck better .

The point I am trying to get across is, message board print is not always what it seems like. A person that sounds like a total ass on this board could be a total loveable person. People that may not seem to know much about our trucks on this board may have other knowledge and skills we may need or want to learn. I learned a lot from this board, and not all truck related. I learned how to build a website and create images from my 14 year old who is now 16.

We should all try to learn from each other...ricers, racers truckers, 4-wheelers, bikers, stockers, customizers...etc. There is always something to learn.

Would I drive an H2 if I could afford it? Sure I would. Would I like a twin turbo z or supra? Sure I would. Do I like shiny spinners on my wheels? Hell no!!!!! But that's me and to each his own!

Luis (no time to double check before hitting send button, honestly)

Thanks dinnut, I think you just provided what we all need here, a reason to get back to trucks. Keep us up to date with your progress, and I hope some of us can help you out with info, etc.

I'm 19....and have had my truck for over 3 years. I don't try to start any crap on this board (or any that i am aware of, lol....). But then again, i have been a member for over 2 years and have over 4000 posts. As for this board being bad, spend some time on just about any other board on the net.....all they do is cuss and flame each other 24/7
This one is by far the most civil board i have ever been to, and i love it.

And Phillip, if you have lots of $$$ and want to spend it, more power to you! You can't take it with you....might as well spend it on all the toys and goodies that you possibly can

Of course i am a broke college kid right now...with very little money to spend on anything other than textbooks and tuition

I do love working on my truck....so much more fun and satisfying than paying someone else to do it for me

Well spoken Lewis. Its just that I have been pushed to my limit today and for what? Just wanting to share a few pictures of a stupid over rated school bus I saw while seeing my Doctor on my every 6 week visit to Chico. For that, I have been Pm'd by guys telling me that Im an A$$ hole and a few other choice words. I see my days here may be numbered. Like Ive always said. Im here for the fun of it. Im ready to get out of the 67-72 truck hoby when I finish the restro of my 72 Cheyenne Super BB. As of then, what parts I have left, I will let go to guys here in my area like FRENCHBLUE72, Pont, Cheyenne10, and a few more. Im in ths just fro fun, not to be made fun of. Shame on me for having an opinion. For the record, one of my 4 sons drives a "Rice Rocket" . A Honda Accord. Also, I own a Suzuki.
