^ Thank you - I have been driving it as much as I can when the weather cooperates (no rain). Hard to believe these trucks are 50+ years old now.

Very nice build! You have a really nice job on it. I bet it is really fun to drive with the M22 in it!

Re: Lks Dcvn: 70 2wd GMC Jimmy Conversion Project
Not much progress on this one - drive it 2-3 times a week just to keep things fresh. Although with snow coming - it won't be driven until spring now.
I still have a working list of stuff to do - it's all minor stuff now though:

Re: Lks Dcvn: 70 2wd GMC Jimmy Conversion Project
It's been a bit since an update. Still have it - still working on it. Still driving it when the weather cooperates.
Center console now installed Headlight dimmer hole now complete with plastic/rubber grommet Just had board member TKCR restore the belts back to OEM spec - money well spent - just got those installed today and would recommend TK's work. I also had a set of parchment belts done at the same time for another blazer - those look great as well. |

Re: Lks Dcvn: 70 2wd GMC Jimmy Conversion Project
Updated the 17" TT2s to a set of 20x8 and 20x10 TT2s - VN215s. Won't be driving it until spring so won't know how much different the ride is. I do have a few more things I need to fix as time permits:
I'm thinking of going with the Wilwood D52s when I do the front brakes now that I have a lot more of the caliper visible. Anybody have any experience with these calipers? |
