It won't be long before the fun begins. That is bolting on parts that will stay on the car.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Here are two pictures of the bottom. Not much visible mark, but there are many small repair points.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
very nice work, and I like the rotisserie. I saw a guy on Youtube tip his Camaro and it seemed to work well.
keep up the great work, and keep the pics coming

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Thanks a lot Tempest67! I have been satisfied with the rotisserie, it is sturdy and does not take up much space.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Hi Ilkka, I was thinking about your projects and was glad to find this again. I was not on the website for about a year. You have made great progress and the car is looking good. What are you using to make the replacement pieces? They are very precise.

I use normal sheet metal and basic tools and anything what I can find in my garage. I have a Dremel multi tool and I like it a lot. I don't have any fancy tools, for example an English wheel, a bordering machnine.

![]() Our Chevy is doing well. Last summer we drove it quite a bit because there were so many rainy days here. Now the Chevy has been in the garage all winter (about 7 months). A year ago, we were with Chevy at Finland's biggest car show in Helsinki. There was no trophy. How are you?

Nice to hear that someone is interested in such an old BMW. Restoring this is just so slow as every little part has to be restored in some way. Have a nice spring to you.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Update again after a long time.
The engine block is now painted and the aluminum parts are glass bead blasted.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
I ported the cylinder head many years ago, but now I aligned the intake manifold to the cylinder head.

Re: BMW 325i 1989 restoration
Looks like you getting to the point where you can bolt parts on and not take them off again! Good for you. And the days are getting longer but having said that we live in west central MN and we just got 8"-10" (200mm-250MM)LOL of wet heavy snow. And I just last week I took the plow off my LS swap Wrangler. I jinxed the whole upper mid-west snow wise!
