Re: Planned Community Covenants
Same here. My problem here is not enough area to do it right. But it is organized. I have my working corner and the rest of the place is kept nice. My next place will be more like what you described. I want everything under roof. Parts shed, a machine shed for parts vehicles and future projects, and the work shop. This all in the back with cypress tree screen. Behind that screen will be my junk haven. Up by the house with be the carriage house for parking

Re: Planned Community Covenants
I've been waiting for someone to ask, are wheelies OK? I don't think my current neighbors like me doing them.
Anyone else thought of this yet? |

Re: Planned Community Covenants
Oh, good point. I guess I'm a stacker then. I bundle aluminum siding scrap, an old trick from when that was a daily commodity. You strip off the top lock and use it to wrap and bind the stack of pieces. The steel etc does get piled. "Consolidated" is a word I like to use. I keep my junk consolidated. Some people just see the junk. It takes a well educated mind to see the beauty in the "placement" of such items.
I'll tell you. I'm working on my place any chance I get. Making things better, fixing, changing, or finishing things after being here so long. It is feeling good knocking the list down room by room. But what is really great is I am digging into my inventory and reducing all that. I haven't had to buy any material other than paint and caulk. I had various mouldings, oak boards (fresh milled and vintage), pine and cedar boards and various t&g, mahoghany, Oak veneer and poplar plywood, vintage hardware, wire, plumbing fittings, and metal roofing. It's paying off having all that stored all these years. Often what I had was just enough, so clearing the shed while knocking down the list. I have a carport I built for $400 because I had much of the material stacked with the metal roof on top. All salvage and surplus from jobs. That's a stack gone/carport built... now closing it in for a garage, much with materials I've had

Re: Planned Community Covenants
Vehicles may run any exhaust but must be fitted with "cutouts" unless running open headers.
