Can you believe she picked that kid laying on the couch (real Larry)? She took quite a risk.

Re: Show Your Mug - Family Time

You are about 8 years ahead of me on the marriage longevity, mostly because I got married when I was 28. I have to laugh about the fact that a little over a year after we were married, the priest that officiated was surprised that we were still married. If he was so worried about it, he should have refused. I'll never figure out what was in his mind. We'll be married 40 years next February.

I have never worn a tie with the top button closed. I'll gag! I think I've worn one two or three times. I refused when I was on the HS basketball team and didn't wear a tux for my senior picture. I wore a wrangler denim pearl snap cowboy shirt... fancy schmancy

A set for my youngest (We are descended from Israel Friend)

Oh, we're going old school now?

My dad, me, and my baby sister with his sweet ass Bird in 1983.

It has a super serious racing spoiler for mad down force complete with the rear side windows loaded with go fast stickers. I told him he was the fast and furious of his time, he didn't think it was funny

Cute couple! Not legit, though, since there is no Chevy truck in that pic.

Re: Show Your Mug - Family Time

Wow, I had forgotten about that hair we had.

Tim you obviously loved the sister you lost. We need to cherish the time we have with loved ones.

This is an interesting thread, putting faces and history to words. When I travel, I like to take the back roads, and look for people I can stop and talk to. I love to hear peoples stories.

Chevyland, that story gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. That is just plain cool. It's amazing what time does to perspective. Wait, does she know about the truck obsession?

Re: Show Your Mug - Family Time

Boog hides behind a mask… DOH!! Although I seem to recall a picture at a campground

Eric, I have three years to go to do the same... or not. Talk about life's ironies. I wonder what the kids would think if I did that. Maybe you could shed some light.

Yeah, Larry, me and all the others. You know that trip to the SW I talk about in the '71 Custom Camper rig? That was '89 and she passed two years later. My ex-wife had graduated with her BSN and had a visit planned to a friend who moved to Sante Fe for she and our daughter. I was really busy with work, but about two weeks before she left I realized I couldn't stand staying home while she went out to where I had come back from not too many years before. I called my dad who was stll working, to see if he could get off work to ride out with my son and I. It all worked out, so it was three generations of us guys on a drive out to NM. My ex got het week with our daughter and her friend, then it was up to see my oldest and youngest sisters in Taos. My dad stayed behind to spend time with his daughters and went back home on my Ex-wife's plane ticket while I took my unit on a trip of a lifetime, ending up in Flagstaff/Sedona before heading back east. I am so grateful I made that happen. That was our last time together with my sister and my dad got that time with her after we left

Dad could be quite a clown. Him and me, probably at Christmastime. And he sure loved his Polaroid!
