Yes he did make plans and see them through. I hate cancer! My brother-in-law, who I am close with, was diagnosed with liver cancer in January. Looked further to find it started in his stomach. I think they caught it early and hoping for the best. He's feeling fine and continuing with life. My sister is a breast cancer survivor. They both are very conscious of their health, live on a mountain breathing fresh air, very health conscious with their diet, and are always hiking or kayaking... and I mean often. Goes to show cancer is not picky.

This news about Jesse has really impacted me. I feel I knew him pretty well. His drive to accomplish and still such a young son who obviously meant the world to him. Man this hurts. I've been going back over his posts. It would be nice to put together a memorial thread on his behalf with his pictures and posts. I hope it isn't too hard on you all, but here is one thread I want to share, as hard as it is to read. Jesse was a good man

I've been out of town for a week and not checking in daily as usual. Very saddened to see this post title show up but appreciate the notice. May we all be this well thought of when it's our time. Definite thoughts and prayers for his family. RIP Jesse

Re: 67ChevyRedneck passed away

I never met Jesse in the flesh. But I talked to him. I sent him some seat rails when he was doing his truck. He was so appreciative. He tried to pay me but I didn’t want any money. I just wanted to help a fellow truck guy out. That was about 15??? Years ago. He just struck me as a very nice guy. I was stunned by the news of his passing. I’m still stunned. He was so young. It’s just not right. It’s not fair. He deserved better. That F-ing cancer took his life away from him and took him from his loved ones. Cancer is the devil from hell.

Thanks for sharing that Kirk. That’s a pretty tough read. I feel so badly for his wife and boy. I’m sure Jesse will keep an eye on them from the other side though. Continued prayers.

Re: 67ChevyRedneck passed away

I got to thinking that maybe Jesse's wife could be invited by Liz and to take over Jesse's account here. She would be able to see how he was known and respected. Also could post on here with anything she needed help with figuring out. Not to say that she can't figure it all out on her own or that she doesn't have other folks to help her, but I know that Jesse recently got a Jeep and there might be things that we would be able to make easier for her if she had questions.

Re: 67ChevyRedneck passed away

Good thought. I was thinking it would be nice if, at least, she got to check on this post to see how well liked her man was by many. He was on forums for his other vehicle interests as well, and I'm sure the same is true for those.

I've been in contact with Jena, Jesse's wife, and she knew he was an active member here. She said when she's ready she'll spend some time reading through his posts but for now, she's not quite ready to take that step. We discussed the fact that Jesse's posts will be a great place for James to get to know his father when he gets older, and I think that was comforting for her.

The truck club that he helped me and a few others start up has also offered to help her with anything they need assistance with. She plans to keep the C10 and Jeep, but she's planning on selling a lot of his other projects and parts. They were working with a family member who wanted to buy the Mustang, but she's asked me and Paul (bluex) to help sell the Firebird, his Silverado, and some of his C10 parts. We'll be doing that in the upcoming weeks and we'll try to post info about that here when the time comes.

Thanks again for all who shared their memories, thoughts and prayers.

Jesse was a good friend. We attended the service for him and as Matt said we have offered our help to Jena with anything she or his son may need in the future.
Our club had our picnic last week and I was honored to drive Jesse truck to the show so we could all pay our respects to him.

Rust to shine they all look fine. Jesse came up with our club's logo and we will never forget him.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Unless she has access to his account, I believe the legalities are iffy on that. Other places you have to grant permission for folks to be your legacy.
