I had some trouble with him earlier in Summer 2003. He was supposed to deliver a SWB chassis for $300 to Waverly IL. He basically took my money and kept trying to reschedule the delivery with excuses that I wouldn't call believeable. At one point, he was trying to get another $300 out of me for a posi rear. Glad I didn't do it.
I was able to get my money back through Paypal. I was fortunate. Live and learn I guess. That's the only bum deal I had with anyone from the board.

If you paid by Postal Money order, I think that the US Postal service also offers you some protection. They will go after the guy for mail fraud, which can be a much more serious charge than simple theft or fraud. Something to look into anyway.

The person selling on ebay as chevydreams72 is not him, unless it is his girlfriend. It is someone named Jamie.

hey bouncy if this guy is threatening people over the internet alot of providers will bounce him for making threats. you can contact his provider and file a complaint with the law for that too. maybe if this guy gets enough complaints from all sides he will stop his games. Luckilly this is not common place amongst the people here

His Biography:
"A man with pride, I am the guy who allways gives more for less given. I'm tired af the fighting in life, just trying to survive." AHEM, COUGH, COUGH. I try to stay clear of personal bashings but it seems like there are several reputable people on this board who have had some bad experiances with this guy. There are special places for guys like this. It will all catch up to him. He just better hope that somebody doesn't actually show up on his doorstep someday with all of the posturing that he does. I got my post in so I guess that's one more person who needs to bring him some bandaids. He's gonna need em.

So I guess this chevy dreams 72 is the same crook? I was watching some stepside fenders on auction under that name. I can't get a responce for additional pictures of the insides and mounting flange of these fenders. The ebay auction single picture shows grey primer on the outsides around where rust would form around the flanges. They look to be 67, but I also want to see if the marker light holes have been filled in.

Be real carefull I drove to Col to get my stuff was not worth the drive it was painted with some type of primer once I got that off would have been better to let him keep the money. Was just the princple of it. I did stop at the riverboat on the way home paid for the drive.

I guess they sell to those that don't ask questions. I just checked the auction and the drivers fender is at $100 with 18 minutes left. Too rich for my blood, especially not knowing the actual condition.

I got a reply.
I was looking at the fenders too and questioned the no side marker light. That question was ignored but he dod state they were rust free but after reading this thread I shyed off from bidding. Anyway it is the same guy as I will copy a partial insert from his footnote. All I will do is say that the last name on his return email address is the same as the guy you are talkign about.
insert from eBay email footnote: " Chevy dream's, owned and operated with pride by Jim and Jamie, helping those who love these classic's as much as we do keep them going. Drive with pride, keep th! ! e rubber down. " I am interested in some other stuff he has but I think I will plan to go see and deal in "cash and carry" first!
