You guys are getting me all "wet" in just the right spot! I've wanted to paint mine black since the day I bought it. I've tried to convince myself to paint it a different color but I don't think it's going to happen. I'm sure it will be black one of these days.

I paint everything black, the "clean" days make up for all the "dirty" ones...

IMO, black on any vehicle makes it 100% better looking. All of my dream cars are black or some derivative of it (for instance, a 59 buick hearse in black with cherry red ghost flames). If I get this 67, I'm going to be very torn whether or not to leave it red or paint it black.

I'm only using black until they invent a darker color.

i love a black truck i think they look sharp, however there are drawbacks
#1 it will show EVERY speck of dust and will look like it aint been washed in weeks even when you only washed it an hour before. #2 it will magnify any scratches and or dings ya get in the parking lot if youre going to drive this truck alot it will be battlescarred quick #3 every bit of body work will show under the paint. its the easiest color to see waves and ripples in so if you have any filler or lead or anything dont think it wont be spotted #4 black absorbs light so youll find it will fade quicker than other colors and it will be showing differences if ya have to touch it up later so thats food for thought if ya wanna make y our truck black |

Black trucks
I am just like Henry Ford--"Paint them any color you want as long as they are BLACK".

I like my black truck. I don't have any problems with it showing dirt. I just couldn't resist that! LOL. Yes, they do look good painted black, as long as the sheet metal's straight.

My grandfathers 75 stepside was black, and his truck was my "inspiration" to get my truck. Black trucks do look great, but as everyone seems to agree they are a pain to keep looking clean.

Black is the color I would like to go to. Currently it is rust with a little white added.
