Re: Suburban and panel finds
Having looked at all the photos I think it is only shinier than yours. In my opinion yours has better seats.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
Who knew there were so many blue Burbans left? Not mine. I like the new headliner, but the baby blue paint not so much. Especially since it originally was a green Burban.
Is it me or are barn doors more common on K models? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-gmc-suburban/ Did not sell. Bidding stopped at $20,000.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
1971 Chevrolet K20 3 door Suburban
Phoenix $35k This is a 1 owner for 50 years 1971 K20 Suburban 3 dr Super Wagon. Bought new at Ray Korte Chevrolet in Scottsdale. Its 1 of 353 3/4 ton K20s with the clamshell doors built in 71. One of 1232 3/4 ton 4wd with tailgate ever built. However its probably more like 1 of 1 or 1of 5 as this rig has some super rare options like cruise control, Rear AC system, and 9 passenger seating. Still has its original upholstery! It also has the super rare factory Draw tite tow package that includes a 45 gallon baffled fuel tank. Yeah thats right 45 gallons. Tank is in perfect clean condtion. Has the green tinted glass and many other options.....

agree, very nice but way too rich for my blood
even if I trade both of my K burbs and a longhorn I'd still be $20k short

Re: Suburban and panel finds
And to circle back to this question comes the 1 owner K with production number claims about clamshells on K burbans. Weird coincidence huh

Re: Suburban and panel finds
What's this claim, I'm curious? I've never seen a factory K 67-72 anything with clam shell mounts from the factory. Maybe a modified after production but never OEM. That ochre burb is definitely nice but those are Cali prices and they are over rated.

Long time reader on here, just paid for the membership as it's been an incredible resource as I look for a k series driver to use as a family cruiser. Thanks everyone for sharing their knowledge. I've actually been looking at the one on bat. I know it's a long shot but has anyone seen it in person or have any info on it's condition? Looks like a semi solid driver that I would change the rear doors to a hatch and look for some bench seats to replace the current ones. Lastly what's your take on the values on bat? Thanks |

Re: Suburban and panel finds
I don't believe there are any deals to be had on BAT. Occasionally something will be bought at reasonable price if the market is flooded with that type of vehicle.
So to answer your question my opinion is the prices are high. That being said if your buying over long distance the photographs are usually plentiful and the buyers responsive. So the premium may be worthwhile.

I felt like I needed a shower after reading all that B.S.! The door panels are a bit cheesy too.
