Re: How about some pics of 47-59

I finally got the interior done and the rear windows installed. Hood, tailgate and bumpers are all that's left to do.

Wow, looking good!

Did you do the interior on your own or did you take it somewhere?
(looking for good interior people near LA)

Beautiful, beautiful truck!! Your truck literally takes my breath away every time I see a picture of it! I'll be painting my '79 those exact colors this summer hopefully, only with the black/green reversed, with silver flames separating...just wish it was a 47-53 instead!!

Wow ...I love that truck. That shade of (silvery) blue is one of my all time favorite colors. I can see why you would miss it.. How long was the built time on that one?

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

Thanks, because of my age and lack of funds, It took me about 6 years, And when I sold it , it still needed a bed floor. I think when the burban is done Im going to build its clone. ?????

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

6yrs are nothing...Mine took over 10. Before kids I had a lot more time and money. The project slowed and money dried up when the kids arrived. I wouldnt have it any other way.

Good call on building a clone. You do nice work.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

Congratulations and good luck on both getting the burb finished up and more importantly the birth of your first child. The funny thing is since my family (2 boys and a wife) out grew my truck I'm thinking of a 47-53 burb as my next project.

1958 Burban-Dang that is a sweet truck, I stopped a just stared at it for a while. Do you have anymore pics of it.
Also how about some details on it. I'm interested in how you set the suspension up.

Those are the only pics I have on the computer, cuz it was so long ago. As for the suspension, It had a nova clip and was z-ed 3 inches, 2600lb bags and a 4-link, had 18 inch boyd timeless, Was a sweet truck for only being 20 yrs old at the time.

58 gmc
More pics coming very soon.

1958 Burban-Thanks for the Reply and info.

58 GMCGreat Lookin Truck. I saw your truck in a magazine years ago and I clipped the pictures and article out to save it. It is what made me decide to bag my truck and go low.

Incredible truck man!

I'm just starting to go down the path of getting my 56 to lay out.

What size wheels + tires are you running?
