Re: 72 k20 project

I'm a believer in Apple Cider Vinegar the stuff with the "Mother" in it that's non pasteurized like Braggs brand. put a tablespoon on a glass of water 3 times a day for about 2 weeks, add a little honey to help with the taste because it isn't the most pleasant. Its all natural and won't do any damage to your body and it will rebalance your bodys PH.

Just be sure to go to a Dr and make sure there isn't a real medical problem and that your not peeing blood or something.

I use 2tsp if Bragg's , ~1 tbsp honey, and a pinch of cinnamon in a cup of hot green tea. Its actually not bad at all that way. Hope you feel better Ryan. Kidney issues are scary.

Re: 72 k20 project

Ill look into that as well. i have a local grocery store that stocks the natural stuff, so that makes it easy to access. i am pretty sure i was peeing blood. we'll see if its better today. so far so good, fever is better and my kidneys aren't aching as bad as they did yesterday. i am a quick healer, and i hate doctors(the medical profession, not the people). so if it doesnt get any worse ill stay away from the doc.

thanks for all your concern and the advice. i like the homeopathic way of treatment

Re: 72 k20 project

the Kidney thing is much better today. still going to try the cider vinegar and oregano as good measure.

got the chance to cut the beginning of a cross member cut out. Please excuse the general filth and clutter. i'm not proud of it.

this is a quick and dirty mock up.

Thanks! i am glad i have the opportunity to use all of the equipment. it sure helps.

I got a box today with another piece of the fuel plumbing in it.

filter heads from Nicktane. really spiffy looking part and totally worth it compared the time it would take me to make my own similarly.

and with the enormous CAT fuel filter. i still have to do some ordering to get the water separator coming.

Nice work on that cross member! Is it me, or will the stock pan work now with the engine move? Those black anodized parts sure are nice too! And just remember, I'm just helping you buy the stuff one time. It hurts worse to spend it again for things that last. Haha

sure, send it over! i work slow, but at least i'm a pain in the butt to work with...haha once i finish this one i sure as heck hope that i have made all the mistakes. feels like ive done everything at least twice...

i made some headway on the crossmember. i pulled the engine to make things easier. i will re-cut the rear mount tabs. i needed to adjust things a little and they could have worked, but for five minutes on the computer and 2 bucks worth of material, ill just make them again.

i got it pretty close. didnt have much space left to work with.

I like your way of thinking! i have a lot of "research" in this one

i know what you mean about ideas. Dieselwrencher and i have gone back and forth for the last few years giving one another helpful "ideas" this truck wasnt going to have twins, wasnt going to have links and bags yet. too many conversations about how cool stuff would be and now, both of us have built and rebuilt a truck a few times and neither one of them is done. Haha i am trying to collect and prepare for a 1000 hp engine to go in this truck in the future. while i cant blame Ryan for the idea, i can blame him for giving me overwhelming advice on how easy and awesome it would be, and he just happened to have an engine he would trade me...

Re: 72 k20 project

Thanks my friend!

today i got the engine back in the frame. the bushings are installed in the frame brackets. i will try to get those connected to the engine block sometime.

it clears the engine with plenty of space for my yet to be made oilpan.

Re: 72 k20 project

I really like the direction you are going with the new engine mounts and cross member. The engine should be held firmly in place with the 4 mounts compared to just 2 like I'm using. Looks great!
