7D2N, Love the Blazer man. Perfect stance! Beautiful.
Did you ever have that truck in Ogden for the old West Coast Nats? Looks familiar! |

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
Here is one I just bought. I am planning a 5.3 conversion in the very near future.

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
Now that's a cool tow rig!
Depending on what you're going to tow with it, I would think you would want bigger than a 5.3, maybe even a diesel.

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
I have a 385HP and 460FPT 5.3 ready to go in as we speak. The truck has a tired 350 with 210 HP 23 years ago in it now. I have towed a 28 foot trailer with car that weighed 9500 with it already....anything is better than what is in it now. I am looking to do the swap for less than $2000 total and am well on my way to that goal as we speak.

Other than the 5.3, what are you having to take with it? Transmission? Computer? Wiring harness?

Re: Post Your Ride 67-72 Trucks
I am using the complete 5.3, harness, computer, trans, radiator(I hope I have not measured it yet) and it all came from the same truck. The headers, TB and intake came from a previous build I did and saved the parts. The cam is the only part I bought new so far. It is a custom grind torque monster from an LS guy locally.
