Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
Here is a brute that a guy drives in my complex. An early 60s panel that sits on top of a late 90s Dodge 2500 4x4 chassis w/ Cummins Turbo. You can see that the front fenders and cowl has been extended to allow for the length increase of the I-6 turbo diesel. Nice build! He drives it daily!

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
KOOL my uncle had a 62 stepside with that same color but it was 2wd. I like it but it needs to have the old style wheels instead of new.. just my opinion...

Nice truck, color and all. Haven't been much for large rims but they totally fit the truck so well, nice job.

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
I always wondered how the front would look if it were blacked out. Gives it a more modern look.

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
Nice snow blind 4x4, not much for the tire selection, look more like a tire for a car than a 4wd, some mud tires would make the truck look killer, still like it, so clean and nice lines especially with the smoothed roll pan.

66Gilbert,
can you tell me what the utility bed came off of? or did you build it? I/m looking for a bed like that for my truck.

Not sure which truck you are asking about. I don't own a truck with a utility bed. You will have to reference a post number and maybe I can help or someone will chime in. Thanks for looking!

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
you guys are killing me with these trucks with the pizza cutter tires, I wanted some for my truck but shipping was 30 bucks a tire so 150 plus 30 for shipping was waaaaaaaay too much for those type of tires............ I found some mud grip LT 235 85 16 with free shipping. cost about 124.00 a tire...
http://i.ebayimg.com/images/i/381149...0-1/s-l140.jpg I hop these will work on my wheel 16" x 4.5 wide wheel if not then I'll have to use a wider wheel.....

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
I forgot I can post in this thread now. yes! Woo hoo. Always dreamed of this day*sniff sniff*. this is my 1965 k20 long bed with a 292. And 4 speed don't mind the body panels. I just did the frame swap and haven't aligned the bed and cab yet. The hood and gmc grill are just there because I love the look of them Together

Re: 60-66 Chevy And GMC 4X4's Gone Wild
new body and drive train going
on starting tomorrow. new adds 5.7l 350/700r4 with a np243 12 bolt semi float rear axle, housing 4.56's and a auburn locker. Fun truck but it was built like crap. must be why it cost my 600 bucks lol.
