Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

Has anyone in Northern California been able to put their hands on this truck?
Its been up a little while and imagine the rust is as bad as it appears but if it was just rockers and the rest is ok it may not be that bad of a rig

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

I'm down on the central coast visiting my sister and thought I would check this truck out Monday in Nipomo and

http://monterey.craigslist.org/cto/5621476523.html

wondered what you guys thought. You can see from the SPID that it was originally a long-bed and people have strong feelings about this but that isn't a big deal to me. Having said that of course there is the consideration of resale, things happen in life, divorce, sickness, job change so that is always a consideration. Anyway, here is a couple more pictures not found on the ad.

Thanks,
Rob

even as a big proponent of originality, that looks like a very nice truck to me based on the pictures. i think you have a respectable option there. you might not get as much interest if you had to sell one day, but the value certainly will be there. looks like the length was done properly. even if you bought a $500 lwb to start with you'll never build that truck for that price! i say go for it!!

I looked at this truck today and there's no welds on the frame. In fact, everything looks new. So someone refurbished a short bed frame and bed and mounted this long bed cab on it? Seems like a lot of work . . . as GOM says, "it's only time and money".

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds

That truck looks nice to me for the price ,very similar to my own except mine was a factory shortbed .I also dont mind shortened trucks as long as they are done right. I know I have more than that in mine .Let us know if you get it .

72 1/2 ton 4x4 lb could probably get it for $750. Its rough but i think it would buff out well.

EDIT: I talked myself into it and sent an email. Will let you guys know if it has a ton of rust or what not.

Note to ADMIN: Sorry but the link I posted was not my truck for sale. I was merely posting this link in this section as a craigslist find. It looked like every other person's post that's posted here. Aren't they ALL *for sale* ads??
