Re: PO has me PO'd
The dash is a little Spartan, I would have liked the back-lighting to have extended to it as well. Might be something I can upgrade to on my own. Once I get brave enough to do anything other than change oil and put gas in it that is.

HEY!
it was my idea for that patch... ask Jon! I'm actually glad he didn't have it when I asked, I would have tried to save my bedsides... what a mess that would have been

Re: PO has me PO'd
No worries, I'd like it even if it was just one of the 6 cylinder versions.

Re: PO has me PO'd
no doubt. They run really well and still get good mpgs.
We're planning on ordering a Camaro convertible after they come out. It may be a Z/28 (556hp LSA?) convertible if its released by the time we order and with a rag top...otherwise a RS/SS convertible with a stick.

Good luck with the engine start, and yes it is always a good time hanging out with the boys. Be patient, they always seem to drift back home eventually seems like the 3/4" fastners work better than the 1/2" ones, just to short to grab! The bottom corners are the worst, no clearance room to swing the fastners up, My idea of using a hook tool to grab the fastner and swing it up was somewhat a success. I only stabbed my finger once, no where near as bad as Levi, that thing had to hurt

Re: PO has me PO'd
Well had a couple hours to mount up the oil pan, dang PO had the rear passenger side cross threaded...put some grey RTV silicone in the top 4 corners where the block meets the gasket. Had to drop the oil filter to get at one of the oil pan bolts
Much easier job with the DIY4X4 crossmember flanged, no support this time from the top of the motor Once I get the valve covers bolted down, I should be able to add oil and prime the engine thru the dizzy hole. Big improvement from the days of finding plastic chunks from the timing sprocket in the oil pan

Re: PO has me PO'd
Thanks Guys, more eye candy, but first FUBAR
Took the head out of the box to paint, got going on the coating and something didn't seem right. It was the machining on the v/c mounting surface!!! The angle was wrong, and to correct it, they remachined it at the proper angle and relief cut half of the v/c mounting hole boss....afreakin'mazing from GMPP! So, my call goes out to Jeg's customer service, not another one in stock, crap! Her supplier is 5 days BO, but she pulls the ace of spades out of the deck and says " SUMMIT has it in stock " I wanted to reach thru the phone and kiss her, yesterday the head arrives Gotta send this girl some flowers
