Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10
Thanks Brandon!
Thanks Mike! I have a feeling you'll like what I'm posting below. Quote:
Got it back last night. Need to do some undercoating along the footwell area to clean it up, but it's about ready to start stuffing the engine and everything else back in it! Oh, and the shaved cowl I bought from my painter and had him paint is on it too. It's a little warped, so I'll have to do some tweaking of it, but overall fits much better than the one I had on it before, and this one will keep most of the trash out of the cowl. I also started stripping the undercoating off the inner fenders. There's some surface rust underneath it all, so I sprayed some converter on it, but ran out (hence the bare spots).

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10
That looks awesome! I like the smooth cowl panel. I'm curious how much less air can be drawn in with them like that?

Thanks Ryan! Thanks Mike! Thanks Keith! Quote:
Before the weather got cold here, I managed to get some undercoating below the new paint. I couldn't leave the couple bare steel parts or the old undercoating alone. It just didn't look as good. Had to order some wire terminals to get some of my wiring back into the cab since I'm trying to clean it up, and my extra holes are now gone. Once I get those (after Christmas) I'll get back on reassembly.

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10
This is a great thread been watching it for a while, you inspired me.I just picked up this last night Its a newer Escalade motor L92 Ls3 with low miles.Going to remove the procharged sbc in my 71 c10 and start installing the L92.Probably going to install a bigger cam and VVT delete plus put procharger on down the road.
Thanks for all the info and the very good pics. Brian

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10
Thanks Ryan!
I've been slowly assembling everything again. Painting some accessories and the back (interior) of the firewall has caused some delay since dry times are longer in cooler and humid weather. It's been border line weather for painting with rattle can, but it's gotta get done. Here are some pics: And my painter has been working on the inner fenders a bit over the holiday break.

What color do you plan for the inner fenders? Everything is looking great!

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10
Hi Duane,
Looking great I love that color of blue.I had a question about your brake lines that run up to your wilwood proportioning valve.Did you buy those already made up or shorten and reflare the factory lines.I bought the same wildwood setup a few months ago but haven't installed it yet. Thanks Brian
